Card payments are taken securely via our payment partner, WIX PAYMENTS. • Can I cancel my Cheese Box Subscription?
Monthly cheese subscriptions are set for a minimum of one delivery before you are able to cancel. Please send us notification to if you wish to cancel. Once set up, your agreement will run for the duration of your agreement until either you or Cheese on Towcest’ chooses to end it. We cut our cheese fresh according to your “agreement” and we may seek to recover any losses/costs associated with a late cancellation.
  • Is my cheese vegetarian?
Cheese contains 4 main ingredients, milk, starter culture, rennet and salt. Some cheesemakers use traditional ingredients such as animal rennet in their recipes. We always do our best to highlight these in the product description and will provide an alternative when requested.
  • I have special dietary needs and cannot eat everything listed in the pack – what are my options?
We have a selection of cheese from around the UK and can usually cater for most dietary requirements, if you need to let us know about something then please get in touch.
  • Is blue cheese mouldy?
Kind of… the blue vein is created using a bacteria called penicillium roqueforti, It is a used as a starter culture in blue cheese. It doesn’t pose any health risk in cheese and won’t make you ill.
  • Where does your cheese come from?
We work with artisan cheese distributors and a network of small dairies across the UK to bring you a broad selection of the best quality cheese from across the UK and Ireland.
  • How should I store my cheese?
We recommend storing your cheese in the fridge using a Tupperware box with a lid. A damp cloth will also stop your cheese drying out. Take it out around an hour before you intend to eat it to allow your cheese to come to room temperature. Many of the flavours in cheese are masked by cold temperatures and so taking it out of the fridge an hour or so earlier will bring out some of those lovely unique flavours and can also enhance the texture. For semi-soft or brie type cheese, they will start to run and go gooey the longer you leave them out; DEEELISH!
  • How long will the cheese last?
All the cheese is individually labelled with a best before date and this varies depending on the type of cheese.
  • What do I do with the packaging?
Unless stated otherwise, the box and stuffing are biodegradable, but don’t just throw it away as the boxes come in handy for re-gifting and the stuffing can be used again. We try to minimise the use of single use plastic where we can however some items may come prepacked to maintain freshness and quality.
  • We are having a party and want some delicious cheese, do you cater for larger groups?"
YES we can, as well as doing the monthly cheeseboxes and market stall we are able to provide bespoke selections tailored to your tastes. If you are having a celebration, wedding, birthday or general get together and would like to add a bit of wow to the party then please get in touch.
  • HELP! I need something last minute as I forgot a loved one’s birthday, can you help?"
We will always do our best to help. So get in touch with your requirements and tell us about the person you need the cheese for – do they like soft runny cheese, unctuous monastic delights, a sharp cheddar etc and let us know when you need it. You will find our gift packs here.
